Meet The Founder

Javari Carlton is the Founder and Managing Director of The First in Our Generation Foundation, Inc. A proud first‑generation college graduate from Jacksonville, Florida, Javari is a dedicated advocate for HBCUs and educational equity. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Clark Atlanta University, where his commitment to expanding access and opportunity for students took root.

Driven by his early goal of becoming the first in his family to attend and graduate from college, Javari has built a multidisciplinary professional background spanning consulting, finance, marketing, and public policy. This diverse experience informs his leadership approach and strengthens his ability to create meaningful, community‑centered impact.

In addition to leading the Foundation, Javari served on the Board of Trustees at Clark Atlanta University as the Undergraduate Student Government Association President, championing student voices and advancing institutional progress. He also serves as the Education Chair for the Georgia Youth & College Division of the NAACP, working to expand access to resources, civic engagement, and educational equity for youth and college students across the state.

Javari is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, continuing his commitment to service, leadership, and faith‑driven community development.
