Javari Carlton is the Founder and Managing Director of The First in Our Generation Foundation, Inc. A proud first-generation college student from Jacksonville, Florida, Javari is a dedicated advocate for HBCUs and educational equity. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Clark Atlanta University.
Javari’s commitment to higher education was shaped early by his goal of becoming the first in his family to attend and graduate from college. This purpose has guided his professional journey, during which he has gained experience across consulting, finance, marketing, and public policy, developing a multidisciplinary approach to leadership and impact.
In addition to leading the Foundation, Javari serves on the Board of Trustees at Clark Atlanta University, where he holds the position of Undergraduate Student Government Association President, working to elevate student voices and advance institutional progress.
Following his graduation from Clark Atlanta University, Javari plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Analytics and later attend law school to become a corporate attorney, while continuing his service as Managing Director of the organization and expanding its mission to empower future generations of current and aspiring HBCU scholars.
